Switch to 28 Days

You may have received a text about an important update regarding your repeat prescriptions. Following guidance from NHS Dorset, our GP practice will now be issuing all repeat prescriptions every 28 days instead of every 56 days.

This change is being made to support safer prescribing, reduce medication waste, and ensure more consistent reviews of treatment.

It is part of a wider effort across the NHS to improve patient care and make the best use of NHS resources.

Please be assured that this adjustment will not affect your ongoing access to medications. If you have any concerns or feel this change may not be suitable for your circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further.

For more information please view the following leaflet 28-day-prescribing-leaflet-2024.pdf

Some patients may be suitable to be set up for ‘electronic repeat dispensing’ If you would like to know more about this, please ask at Reception. For more information please click Here

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
